Need Help?

Luke 6:38 (KJV) Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
What is your dream? What is the vision for your future that the Lord has given you? We all need each other. Teamwork does make the dream work. The principle of sowing and reaping is a spiritual and a physical law. A farmer plants seed in hopes of bringing in a harvest. Jesus said that the measure that we use to meet others needs is the same measure that is used to meet our needs. Do you need encouragement today? Find someone to encourage. Do you need help to accomplish the goals in your life? Help someone else accomplish the goals in their life. When you give of your time, resources, support, encouragement, love, talents and abilities generously, it will be measured or "given" back to you in abundance. When you have a need, find someone else who has a need and see how you can help them. You'll find that your needs will be met also.

Let Down Your Nets

Luke 5:4-6 (NKJV) When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.” And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking.

Jesus had spoken the word. Simon Peter was in the boat while the other fishermen were on the shore cleaning their nets. Jesus told Simon to let down their nets for a catch. Jesus was presenting an opportunity. He had spoken the word. He was presenting an opportunity for the miraculous. However, Simon only put in one net. The opportunity for the miraculous was made available to all of them when Jesus said "let down your nets", and though they all benefited from it, Simon was the only one who put in his net. What would have happened if they all would have let down their nets? In this day and age, we still have God's word. It has been spoken and written down for us to know. The opportunity is there for the miraculous. Who will put in their "net" (faith) for a catch? Too many times we are praying for God to do something. We're sitting and waiting, toiling all night, all the while He has already done it. The opportunity for the miraculous is already there. The word has already been spoken. It has been made available to all. Who will say "Yes Lord, at thy word I will put my faith into action based on your word!" Who will let down their net for the catch? You can’t set around felling sorry for your self or felling ( I have been hearing this word a lot lately ) devastated. Come on get you mind on the task at hand. ("Let the dead bury the dead") Yesterday is gone and tomorrow is at hand. God knows your situation. He knows your concerns and uncertainties. He knows your dreams and desires. Don't be so focused on the concerns, uncertainties, issues and problems. Instead of being focused on the circumstances, be focused on your God! Magnify the Lord above the issue. He already knows the issues, etc., and He wants to take you through to victory. He desires to do a new thing in your life. God can make a way when it seems that there is no way. Cast (throw; set aside; discard or reject;) your cares on the Lord. When you choose to carry around your fears and worries, you tie the hand of the Lord. He can not deal with your worries and fears if you are trying to hold on to them. "Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it?" Don't be so focused on the cares of life that you can't see the open door that the Lord has set in front of you. Put your focus on Jesus, resist the devil and his discouragement, and walk into your promised land! Get excited - your time is NOW! Let down your nets.

Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there.

By Example

1 Corinthians 11:1 (NKJV) Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ.

It is the picture of a lifeline. It spans the length of life and time, stretching from the newest believer to those who near their journey's end. Hand in hand they move from new life to afterlife, holding one another in a grip of love--held between the outstretched arms of Christ. There are good and right examples for each of us to follow. It is the wiser person who realizes the need to depend on others. We were not salvaged by God to be an island unto self, but to become a link in a chain that is firmly secured to our Lord Jesus Christ. Each link has other links ahead of it. And each link has links behind. As we remain linked to one another, and secure within Christ, we are strong. We have had examples to follow, and we will be the example--each of us following the example of our Lord.

Grace Is Sufficient

2 Corinthians 12:7-9 (The Message) Because of the extravagance of those revelations, and so I wouldn't get a big head, I was given the gift of a handicap to keep me in constant touch with my limitations. Satan's angel did his best to get me down; what he in fact did was push me to my knees. No danger then of walking around high and mighty! At first I didn't think of it as a gift, and begged God to remove it. Three times I did that, and then he told me,

My grace is enough; it's all you need.
My strength comes into its own in your weakness.
Once I heard that, I was glad to let it happen. I quit focusing on the handicap and began appreciating the gift. It was a case of Christ's strength moving in on my weakness. Now I take limitations in stride, and with good cheer, these limitations that cut me down to size—abuse, accidents, opposition, bad breaks. I just let Christ take over! And so the weaker I get, the stronger I become.

There may be an issue or a situation in your life that you are seeking relief or deliverance from. The good news is, God has already provided everything you will ever need pertaining to life and godliness through Jesus Christ. Things don't always come to pass in an instant. But, God may be telling you today as he told Paul - My grace is sufficient for you to overcome. You may be weak, but in Jesus Christ, by the grace of God, he causes you to overcome. He gives you the strength to be more than a conqueror. God always causes you to triumph, but He will not override your soul (mind, will & emotions). He desires that you prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers. If your mind, will and emotions are not renewed to the will of God and His promises, you will be hard pressed to overcome. But when your mind is renewed to His promises, and your will is conformed to His will, His grace is more than enough for you to overcome! He promises that as you rely on His grace, His power will be present in you.

Every Wind of Doctrine

Ephesians 4:14-15, KJV: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ.

We may reason, that we live in an age of reason; and for that reason, it seems that any reason is good reason, and therefore, reason enough. Confusing? “I am astonished,” Paul writes, “that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel--which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ” (Gal. 1:6-7). There is a good reason we place Scripture as our Authority for doctrine. As doctrines are built upon the foundations of individual reason, we find desertion of the absolute truth of God, we propagate and persist confusion, and we pervert the Gospel by filtering it through individual perception. There is a dire need for the people of God to come back to His truth; to throw much reason to the wind, and let doctrine be built solely upon the firm and unchanging foundation of Jesus Christ.

Playing By The Rules

2 Timothy 2:5 (Amplified Bible) And if anyone enters competitive games, he is not crowned unless he competes lawfully (fairly, according to the rules laid down).
Every game has its rules. If you're going to compete in a particular sport, you must learn and abide by the rules if you're going to be successful. If you're in the horse world and compete in different activities related to the horse, be it rodeo, cutting, reining, etc., you must learn the rules that are specific to each event in order to have a chance to win the trophy and not be disqualified. A soldier who is serving in the military does not conduct himself as a normal citizen. He has a completely different set of codes and laws that he must live by and is not only subject to the laws of his nation, but also the Uniform Code of Military Justice. He must abide by the military rules and codes or face the consequences. Likewise, the Kingdom of God has a set of rules or "laws" that it operates by. There are spiritual laws that God has set in place that can't be overlooked or bypassed if you want to inherit the prize (the blessing). When God says you can only get to heaven through His son Jesus Christ, then that's the way it is. Christ can not be bypassed to get to heaven. The law of the Spirit of Life is only found in Christ Jesus. The law of faith can not be bypassed. People will not be exempt from the spiritual law of "life and death are in the power of the tongue." Confession brings possession, so don't let some old religious belief keep you from the prize of the blessing. Give yourself a check-up from the neck up. If your words, ways and thoughts are not in line with Gods, God says in Isaiah 55 there is only one way to change and that is by meditating, believing and speaking His Word!

He will Make A Way

Isaiah 43:14-21 (The Message)

God, your Redeemer,
The Holy of Israel, says:
"Just for you, I will march on Babylon.
I'll turn the tables on the Babylonians.
Instead of whooping it up,
they'll be wailing.
I am God, your Holy One,
Creator of Israel, your King."
This is what God says,
the God who builds a road right through the ocean,
who carves a path through pounding waves,
The God who summons horses and chariots and armies—
they lie down and then can't get up;
they're snuffed out like so many candles:
"Forget about what's happened;
don't keep going over old history.
Be alert, be present. I'm about to do something brand-new.
It's bursting out! Don't you see it?
There it is! I'm making a road through the desert,
rivers in the badlands.
Wild animals will say 'Thank you!'
—the coyotes and the buzzards—
Because I provided water in the desert,
rivers through the sun-baked earth,
Drinking water for the people I chose,
the people I made especially for myself,
a people custom-made to praise me.
Behold, I am doing a new thing!

When Moses was standing at the red sea with no place to go, and pharaoh’s army was closing in, then out of nowhere came a mighty strong hand, and He rolled back the waters. And a way was made for them. Just like for the children of Israel He will do the same today for us. But we must keep our eyes on Him and NOT the circumstances around us.

On Fire

Luke 3:16 (The Message) But John intervened: "I'm baptizing you here in the river. The main character in this drama, to whom I'm a mere stagehand, will ignite the kingdom life, a fire, the Holy Spirit within you, changing you from the inside out. He's going to clean house—make a clean sweep of your lives. He'll place everything true in its proper place before God; everything false he'll put out with the trash to be burned."

Did you once have it, ( The Fire ) and circumstances has caused you to lose it?
“Shine Jesus Shine,” a praise song exclaims, “fill this land with the Father’s glory. Blaze Spirit Blaze, set our hearts on fire!” Those last few words are hard to sing without imagining what it would be like for our hearts to truly be “on fire” for Jesus. But what kind of fire would it be? Would it be a fire kindled during worship but gone shortly after leaving the service? Would it be a fire that lights only certain areas of our hearts and cannot penetrate into the darker places because we refuse to give up some part of our lives? Imagine a spark that ignites into a long burning flame. One which stirs in us passionate living for Jesus. One which lights every part of who we are and spills over into a genuine love and concern for others. Imagine, a light that sparkles in our eyes and prominently proclaims, “Jesus lives here!” That is a fire not easily extinguished.

Sheep’s Clothing

Jude 1:17-19 (NKJ) But you, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ: how they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts. These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit.

In these times, it is important for us to bear in mind that there are truly those who are within the church that cause separation rather than unity, that seek their own over that of what is good for the whole of the church. We must weigh everything according to God’s Spirit. There are those who are troublemakers by desire, there are those who make trouble unknowingly, and there are those who stir up strife yet do not wish to. So while we are staying alert so as not to be led astray, we must keep in mind that we ourselves must be certain that we cause no divisions for any reason. we must keep ourselves in check with God’s Word and His Spirit.

It's The Devil!

Revelation 20:10 (Amplified Bible)Then the devil who had led them astray [deceiving and seducing them] was hurled into the fiery lake of burning brimstone, where the beast and false prophet were; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever (through the ages of the ages).

It's going to be a great day when the devil is finally thrown into the lake of fire to be tormented day and night forever. He's the one who is now deceiving the nations. He's the one who is deceiving God's people with untruths and falsehood. As Jesus revealed in John 10:10, the devil is the one who has come to steal, kill and destroy; and he deceives many by getting them to blame God for their problems.
When you pray for patience, God is the one who gives you an opportunity to be patient. God is always presenting His people with opportunities to walk in love, step out in faith, etc; but God is not the creator of problems. God is the creator of solutions. God in His infinite wisdom does not need to create problems to show that He is wise. He has made His wisdom evident by the things that are made. The devil is the author of every one of your problems, whether it be a temptation he has set before you or an evil influence that persuaded you to make a bad decision. God is the one who will give you an opportunity for a second chance and turn every negative situation around for good. If God is the author of sickness then we are all in disobedience for trying to get healed. If God's will is for His people to be sick then why did He say "by His striped we are healed". If He wills us to be poor and broke, why did He say "He delights in the prosperity of His people". If He wills us to die young, why did He say "with long life I will satisfy him". If He doesn't mean for us to live victoriously, why did He say "I've come that they might have life to the full". Your problem is not with God - It's the devil!!! And one day we will get to see him pay for every lie he told and every blessing he stole!

Understanding the Will

Ephesians 5:17 (Amplified Bible) Therefore do not be vague and thoughtless and foolish, but understanding and firmly grasping what the will of the Lord is.

Knowing the will of God pertaining to life and godliness will keep you rooted and grounded, unwavering in the midst of the storm and in the face of circumstance. Adversity will come. Persecutions will come. The devil will shoot his flaming arrows and fiery darts in regards to health, wealth, protection, provision and security, etc. Our job is to hold up the shield of faith. The problem is many Christians either don't know what they believe, or believe contrary to the word and promises of God. Many try to believe for a while, but seeing the circumstances and the trials and casualties of those around them, they begin to walk by sight rather than by faith and are soon found shipwrecked in regards to their faith and unable to stand. Being more convinced by what they see around them, rather than what God has written to them. Jesus compared this type of person to a seed on rocky ground with no root. They receive the word gladly, but when the fiery darts come, they immediately fall away. The only way to develop a deep root is to be a Joshua - meditate on the word day and night, then you will have a firm grasp on what the will of the Lord is. Don't let the negative circumstance around you cause you to put your faith in what you see.

Right vs. Easy

2 Corinthians 13:7 (KJV) Now I pray to God that ye do no evil; not that we should appear approved, but that ye should do that which is honest, though we be as reprobates.

It is not always about what is right or wrong. Sometimes it is about what is right or easy. There comes a time when we must make a choice between what is right, and what is easy. The choice is certainly not always easy to make. For there is a very powerful part of who we are that entices us to seek and take the easy way. And it is so very easy to reason with ourselves until we either make a wrong choice, or miss the opportunity to do right altogether. Perhaps you remember when Jesus said, “The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Many of us understand that all too well. But total victories are seldom won with one battle. It takes time and determination to win the war against the tendency to take the easy way. And in time, we will see that doing the right thing is something we will do more frequently. You never know, at some point what is right may become to us easier than doing something else. After all, with God, all things are possible.

Spoken Words

Genesis 1:3The Beginning. AND GOD SAID, "Let there be light," and there was light

Spiritual law works every time it is applied correctly. God never did anything without Saying it first. God released His faith in Words. Mark 11:22-24 (Amplified Bible)And Jesus, replying, SAID to them, Have faith in God [constantly]. Truly I tell you, whoever SAYS to this mountain, Be lifted up and thrown into the sea! and does not doubt at all in his heart but believes that what he SAYS will take place, it will be done for him. For this reason I am telling you, whatever you ASK for in prayer, believe (trust and be confident) that it is granted to you, and you will [get it]. Jesus operated in the faith principles of Mark 11:23, and Matthew 17:20 while He was on earth. He spoke to the wind and sea. He spoke to demons. He spoke to the fig tree. He even spoke to dead men. All of these were obedient to what He said. He operated in the God kind of faith. God is a faith God. God released His Faith in words. These principles of faith are based on spiritual laws. You set them in motion by the words of our mouth. Spoken words program your spirit either to success or defeat. Do you really want the negative things you have been confessing to come to pass??? I didn't think so. Remember there is power behind what you say, use your words to honor our Lord and defeat the devil.

Empty

Psalm 22:14 (The Message) I'm a bucket kicked over and spilled, every joint in my body has been pulled apart. My heart is a blob of melted wax in my gut. I'm dry as a bone,my tongue black and swollen. They have laid me out for burial in the dirt.

There are times when there is simply nothing left to give. You are depleted and drained. If a crisis arose, you do not know from where you would possibly squeeze one more ounce of energy. You know God is there—He is willing and ready to help. You cry out, “O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water” (Psalm 63:1). Your prayers dissipate into the air. But you get up, and you ready yourself for come what may. Not because you feel strong, or feel replenished; but because you know God is there whether you feel Him or not. God is there even if your strength is not. And so you step out in faith—not because you feel He has given you what you need now, but because you know He will. It is then you hear Him say, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”

Lay Hold Of It

Matthew 11:12 (NKJV) And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.

When you set your heart and mind to moving out the boundary, or "fence" of faith within you, it won't be an easy task. However, the rewards are great. Simply because faith pleases God (Hebrews 11:6). It will be necessary to spend quality time in the Word of God, reading your Bible everyday. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. But when you fill yourself up with the promises of God, you will begin to easily recognize the devils lies. There may be facts in the world, but only Gods word is truth! There's got to be a rebellion. A rebellion against the lies of the devil. If you're going to choose to believe the promises of God rather than listen and believe the lies of the devil, you will have to make a conscious decision to rebel and forcefully lay hold of what God has in store for you. The good news is when you make the decision to do so, Jesus is right there to give you strength, wisdom, peace and power to overcome! You may need to force yourself to start setting aside time every day to seek God's plan for your life; time to pray and time to read your Bible. But God's words are life to all that find them. Decide today to forcefully advance in your relationship with God and your position in His Kingdom. Lay hold if it!
“In 2010, we win!”

Walk By Faith

2 Corinthians 5:7 (NKJV) For we walk by faith, not by sight.

This verse, pertaining to eternal life and our robe of righteousness that awaits us in heaven, is the foundational principle in which we live as followers of Christ. Though in the natural we don't see the after life, all we see is a body that dies and a grave, we know by faith (believing) that the promise of God is true and that it doesn't all end in a cemetery. Thus, we live by faith, not by sight. In the same way, we are to live day to day standing on the promises of God. However, most people live day to day standing on the evidence of things seen. That is, they never saw Aunt Bessie healed or Uncle Bob prosperous, therefore those promises must not be for everyone. Or we speak to the mountain and call things that are not as though they really were and nothing immediately happens so we chalk it up to "we tried that once and it didn't work" and therefore chose to live by "sight" instead of by faith. Faith is the ability to see it complete while it is still undone. Settle it in your spirit, by the spirit make up your mind, and let your actions be in accordance to what you believe. Everyone is looking for something that "works". Don't go around trying to copy everything everyone else is doing. That is living by sight. The one thing that has always worked and never failed is the Word of God. Be sensitive to what He is telling you to do, then walk by faith and go do it. Stand firm and don't be moved by what you see.

Go Directly To The Father

John 16:23-27 (NKJV)23 “And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. 24 Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. 25 “These things I have spoken to you in figurative language; but the time is coming when I will no longer speak to you in figurative language, but I will tell you plainly about the Father. 26 In that day you will ask in My name, and I do not say to you that I shall pray the Father for you; 27 for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me, and have believed that I came forth from God.

We pray in Jesus' name. Why? Because Jesus is our mediator and the Holy Spirit is our intercessory. That give us the right to go directly to God with the burdens of our hearts, the struggles of our lives, and the weakness in our faith. We go boldly as God's beloved children, with Jesus, our older brother, as our advocate. We go confidently, knowing that the Holy Spirit makes our words and our unspeakable feelings known to God according to his will. Because of Jesus' work for us at the Father's side, and because of his gift to us of the Holy Spirit, we can speak directly to the Creator of the Universe and know we are heard and that God responds. Incredible!

Spinning Your Wheels?

John 15:5 (KJV) I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Have you ever had one of those weeks where anything that could go wrong, does. Of course, it usually only seems that way. In those times, it is usually hard to find the silver linings in the midst of angry, stormy clouds. Nevertheless, you keep trying, and perhaps trusting, that things are bound to turn around. But sometimes things get so hectic that all you can do is lift it up to God—if only you could determine which way was up. Such a time is a time for stillness and surrender. There is a time when you should keep moving while trusting God for His direction, and there is a time to simply stop, and to be still, and to get before God in quiet solitude. It is a time to change your focus from being on what you are trying to accomplish, to being on Who you were made for. Sometimes we forget our purpose is not in what we do—but in who we are in Christ.
