Romans 4:19-25 (The Message) Abraham didn't focus on his own impotence and say, "It's hopeless. This hundred-year-old body could never father a child." Nor did he survey Sarah's decades of infertility and give up. He didn't tiptoe around God's promise asking cautiously skeptical questions. He plunged into the promise and came up strong, ready for God, sure that God would make good on what he had said. That's why it is said, "Abraham was declared fit before God by trusting God to set him right." But it's not just Abraham; it's also us! The same thing gets said about us when we embrace and believe the One who brought Jesus to life when the conditions were equally hopeless. The sacrificed Jesus made us fit for God, set us right with God.
Focus is key to walking in the promises of God. If you're going to walk in victory in this life you're going to have to get your eyes off of all the negative and hopeless situations going on in the world and focus on what God has said. Abraham wasn't justified by faith because he focused on the impossibility - no, he was justified by faith because he determined within himself to focus on the promise of what God said, thus he laid hold of and received what was promised, seeing it manifested in his life because he believed God. Likewise if you're going to see the promises of God manifest in your life you'll have to determine within yourself to focus on what God says about your situation. With your spiritual eyes, if you can see the invisible, you can experience and receive the impossible. It's a matter of focus.
Have A Blessed Week
