We Have The Authority

Luke 10:19 (NKJV) Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
You might say what does this mean? It is referring to demonic enemies that the believer faces in his or her life. You can reference this back to Colossians 2:15 where it says that Jesus triumphed over all principalities and made a show of them openly at His cross. In other words, Christ defeated them all, every demon in hell when He died for you and I. It is this power that now dwells in the believers life that gives us victory over them.It says He gives power over all the power of the enemy, and nothing by any means shall harm you!
I like the way the Message puts it Colossians 2:11-15 (The Message) Entering into this fullness is not something you figure out or achieve. It's not a matter of being circumcised or keeping a long list of laws. No, you're already in—insiders—not through some secretive initiation rite but rather through what Christ has already gone through for you, destroying the power of sin. If it's an initiation ritual you're after, you've already been through it by submitting to baptism. Going under the water was a burial of your old life; coming up out of it was a resurrection, God raising you from the dead as he did Christ. When you were stuck in your old sin-dead life, you were incapable of responding to God. God brought you alive—right along with Christ! Think of it! All sins forgiven, the slate wiped clean, that old arrest warrant canceled and nailed to Christ's cross. He stripped all the spiritual tyrants in the universe of their sham authority at the Cross and marched them naked through the streets. Colossians 2:15 (Amplified Bible) [God] disarmed the principalities and powers that were ranged against us and made a bold display and public example of them, in triumphing over them in Him and in it [the cross].
You will never engage in spiritual warfare in a way that both honors Christ and encourages his people until you are energized by the truth that "he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world" (1 John 4:4b). The words of Jesus to the disciples are as true today of you and me as they were then to them: "Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you" (Luke 10:19). we are engaged in a war, the outcome of which, however, has already been decided in our favor. We fight an enemy over whom we have complete authority and from whom we need fear nothing. He has been convicted, and sentenced to death, WE Are the winners!!!

Have A Blessed Day
