Genesis 1:29 (KLV) And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
God is the giver of all good things. He created the earth to give. The plants give their seeds so they can produce more. The air gives it's oxygen so we can breathe. The sun and moon give their light so we can see. The clouds give their rain so things will grow. Have you ever noticed that the mentality of the world is to get all you can, and can all you get? Many Christians have the attitude of "As long as I have enough for me and mine, that's good enough!" However, that is not the will of God. God desire's that you have all you need, and plenty left over to share with others. (2 Cor. 9:8) So how do you increase? The same way the plants and trees do - you give from what you have. If all you ever do is try and hold on to everything you get, the more you'll find that it is always escaping you. If you want to increase your faith, your going to have to use what you have and put that faith into action. When you do that, it will produce a greater faith. You can apply this principle in every area of your life. If you want to have a greater love for people, you'll have to give and show the love you have in order to increase it. God has a system of seedtime and harvest, (Genesis 8:22) and if you'll give of what you have when, where and how the spirit of God says, it will work every time.
