God's Favor and Help

Then Daniel went to his house, and made the decision known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions, 18 that they might seek mercies from the God of heaven concerning this secret, so that Daniel and his companions might not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon. -Daniel 2:17-18

This story in Daniel is the one of King Nebuchadnezzar's dream. He decreed that unless someone could tell him the dream and the interpretation, all the wise men would be killed, including Daniel and his friends. The first thing Daniel did was to gather his friends and pray. The interesting thing is that the Hebrew meanings of Daniels friends, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah translate to mean "favor", "interpose" and "help". Daniel and his friends prayed for God's mercies and got results. In the same way, when we face a situation or crisis, we can come together and pray for God's mercies and wisdom. And when God interposes, or puts us right in the middle of His favor and His help, it will lead us to victory every time!
