Matthew 6:34, NIV: Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
It is often said that worry is sin, so as Christians we do not like to admit when we worry. We may instead call it "concern." Is it a concern that seems to occupy most of my thinking? Is it concern when it is something I can't seem to get out of my head? Maybe it is something that makes it hard for me to concentrate on other things in my life, or maybe something that keeps me up at night. Is that concern? Call it what you want--worry, concern--it doesn't really matter. The fact is, the very things we seek to control soon find a way of controlling us. Christ knew how easily we can get caught up in the cares of this life. And He knew how easily the cares of this life could steal our joy. His words for us are now as they have always been: "do not worry."
Have A Blessed Week
