Concerning Others
Philippians 2:3-4 (The Message) If you've gotten anything at all out of following Christ, if his love has made any difference in your life, if being in a community of the Spirit means anything to you, if you have a heart, if you care— then do me a favor: Agree with each other, love each other, be deep-spirited friends. Don't push your way to the front; don't sweet-talk your way to the top. Put yourself aside, and help others get ahead. Don't be obsessed with getting your own advantage. Forget yourselves long enough to lend a helping hand. The scripture tells us that Jesus “knew what was in man” (John 2:25). It is that fact and within our own inadequate observations of mankind that we should fathom to the point we are able, the unfathomable grace of God. We are a selfish lot. But by the grace of God we are given a gift in that we, through knowing Him, may become like Him. And in being like Him show evidence of His work in us as we turn our eyes more each day away from our own concerns, and truly embrace in our hearts the concerns of others. Have A Blessed day

Wherever He Leads
Matthew 8:19-20 (NKJV) Then a certain scribe came and said to Him, “Teacher, I will follow You wherever You go.” And Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.” What do we seek that hinders us from following Christ? If He calls us, will He not also equip? If He sends us, will He not also provide for our needs? Within the eyes of some disciples, hesitation could be seen. What Jesus asked of them left them bewildered, and dismayed. They were content to follow Him in ways that fit their expectations. One man proclaimed, “I will follow you wherever you go.” But would he follow if he did not know where he would hang his hat? Would he follow when uncertain where his next meal was coming from? Today, Christ calls us each to follow Him wherever. To places unknown and unfamiliar, He calls us. To times of uncertainty, He calls us. And if we choose to forsake all else, that is when we’ll find Him--and so much more than we first thought, or could possibly imagine. May God Bless you EXCEEDINGLY, ABUNDANTLY, ABOVE ALL YOU CAN ASK OR THINK!

Do you Have a Teachable Spirit
(Psalms 25:4) Show me your ways, O LORD; teach me your paths. It is of immeasurable importance for Christians to have a heart that is willing to be taught and receive instruction. “Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser; Teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.” (Proverbs 9:9) The benefits of having a heart that is open to instruction are exemplified in the lives of many Bible characters both in the Old and New Testaments. You cannot be a disciple of Jesus Christ without being teachable. The Greek word translated “disciple” means learner. A disciple is someone who is ready to learn. Everyone needs a teachable spirit to learn in order to progress. It takes wisdom to succeed. But, it takes a teachable spirit to gather wisdom. Having a humble attitude will help us go a long way. None of us have all the truth. We are all fallen and finite, and we all see through a glass darkly, as Paul says. While we are to stand very strongly indeed for core biblical doctrines, we can do that while having a humble and teachable spirit. Have A Blessed day
Gossip
Proverbs 26:20 (NKJV) Where there is no wood, the fire goes out; And where there is no talebearer, strife ceases.
Ol' Smokey The Bear said: "Only you can prevent forest fires!" Basically, that's what the Wiseman says about gossip. We can turn down the heat, douse the fire, and let the quarrel die. How? By not supplying juicy morsels of gossip, by ditching the urge to spread destructive innuendo, and by refusing to keep alive an ugly rumor. Without gossip, the bitterness of a rivalry can dissolve and relationships can mend.

Feeling Less Than Spiritual
John 14:1-3 Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
No, you are not the only one who has faced it. You know—a time when you feel, shall we say, less than spiritual. Just as many others, I too can say, “Been there…lived through that.” Sometimes, that’s all you feel you’ve accomplished. Living through it, that is. And barely even that, perhaps. Maybe you wonder how it is possible to get through the tough times and feel more like a victorious Christian, than a beaten believer. The first thing you must do is put your eyes on Jesus. The second thing is to keep them there. In our “less than spiritual” times, it is tempting to believe the voice that tells you, you have failed—and tells you, you will only fail again. But that is not the voice of Jesus; and it is only His voice to which you should be paying close attention. Don’t let your heart be troubled, believe in Jesus. He has wonderful things in store for you. If it were not so…He would have told you.

Life Mission
1 Peter 4:7 (NKJV) But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers.
If my life’s mission was truly centered upon leading lost souls to Christ, and helping Christians to know Him better, what would my life look like? How would it change my day? What would it require of me, and what would I need to give up? Such questions often lead us down paths that take us out of our comfort zone. With such questions, our very way of life can be threatened. Reasons and excuses flood our minds. We are afraid we may have to give up something we enjoy, or go somewhere God leads that may take us through difficult times. Once we are able to “throw aside everything that hinders,” then we are able to “run with perseverance.” When my life’s mission is staked in making a living, my center and beneficiary is I. A Christ focused life leads us to use what God has given us in effort to benefit others. If our mission were centered upon others, what would that truly look like?
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

The Beginning of Sorrows
Matthew 24:6-7 (NKJV) And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.
Look around. The world seems to be coming apart at the seams. Wars and rumors of wars abound. Unprovoked violence against the innocent is rampant. The world and national political scene is a breeding ground for corruption; a place void of integrity, where winning elections outweighs the will of the people; a place where parties thrive on doing nothing but discovering new ways to destroy the opposition--regardless of the cost to the nation. But "see to it that you are not alarmed," Jesus tells us, "such things must happen." This is only the beginning of sorrows. And even now we may be dazed by the events, and perplexed as to what is to be done. How do we fight against terrorists and power hungry dictators? How do we stop senseless abuse and killings of the innocent? How do we fight against self-promoting political powers, and seemingly untouchable and unsympathetic establishments? We pray. In prayer, we have a weapon more powerful than any forged on this earth. We need simply to deploy it, and trust the God who is over all.
May God Bless you EXCEEDINGLY, ABUNDANTLY, ABOVE ALL YOU CAN ASK OR THINK!

Don't Be Discouraged
Numbers 21:4-9 (KJV) And they journeyed from mount Hor by the way of the Red sea, to compass the land of Edom: and the soul of the people was much discouraged because of the way.
They went from the mountain of Hor (promotion). They were on their way to the promised land, and they became very discouraged. You may be in what seems like a similar situation. You realize God has a plan and a purpose for your life. You know you have a destiny and that God has good plans for you to give you a future and a hope. However, you may currently find yourself in a wilderness. If so, be encouraged today to not lose hope and not lose sight that God still has plans for you, plans for good not for evil. The way of getting there is a time of renewing your mind. A time of learning to trust God, to learn to hear His voice and to be confident in His provision. It's a time of being faithful in the little things. The enemy is ready for the fight to keep you out of your "promised land", and he will if you haven't learned to fully trust God, to hear His voice and stand on His promises. It's time to learn to use the Word of God and fight the good fight of faith. We're all growing and God is taking us all from faith to faith and glory to glory. As He does, don't let discouragement rob you of what God wants to teach you along the way.

Forget The Past
...but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, - Philippians 3:13
The past, in many cases, is like a prison. It keeps you from moving forward by locking you up in the would-have, should-have, could-have mentality. The minute you asked Jesus to be your Lord and Savior, you instantly became a new creation and your past was wiped clean. Even though that is a biblical fact, another fact is that your mind needs to be renewed. The devil always dwells in the past. He was there when you messed up; when someone abused you; when something bad happened to you; when you make a bad choice. Now that you are trying to live your life for Jesus, he comes to remind you of the past. It's time to forget the past and move on towards your future. Forgetting is done in the realm of the soul - your mind, will and emotions. Forgetting doesn't always mean that you won't remember, but it is more of a matter of focus. If you're always looking at what is behind you, you will miss out on what God has in front of you. God has good plans for you to give you a future and a hope. Renew your mind daily to this promise and let it become your focus. The past is over and can not be changed, but the good news is that God has great plans and a bright future in store for you.

Given the Opportunity
James 2:15-16 (The Message) Dear friends, do you think you'll get anywhere in this if you learn all the right words but never do anything? Does merely talking about faith indicate that a person really has it? For instance, you come upon an old friend dressed in rags and half-starved and say, "Good morning, friend! Be clothed in Christ! Be filled with the Holy Spirit!" and walk off without providing so much as a coat or a cup of soup—where does that get you? Isn't it obvious that God-talk without God-acts is outrageous nonsense?
They are all around us: people who have need of one thing or another. Some need a strong and helping hand, some just need someone to talk to. They are all around us. But it is so easy to not notice them. We get caught up in our own lives and all that life can be. We walk right past them, and sometimes see the need, but have no time to stop and listen, or help, or just be near them. As a minister of Christ’s love, we should not only see the need, but also try to help the need be met. Those in need do not need good intentions or false generosity. Our words and actions mean nothing if what we say or do is for our own benefit—to make us feel proud that we have done our religious duty. For we know, it is not words or deeds on which the Lord alone looks, but on the heart. As we grow in Christ, our actions will flourish as acts that go beyond duty, motivated by the love of Christ in us.

The Answer's On The Way
Daniel 10:12-13 (The Message)"'Relax, Daniel,' he continued, 'don't be afraid. From the moment you decided to humble yourself to receive understanding, your prayer was heard, and I set out to come to you. But I was waylaid by the angel-prince of the kingdom of Persia and was delayed for a good three weeks. But then Michael, one of the chief angel-princes, intervened to help me. I left him there with the prince of the kingdom of Persia. And now I'm here to help you understand what will eventually happen to your people. The vision has to do with what's ahead.'
Sometimes it may seem like forever for the answer to your prayers to come. Be encouraged that God has heard you from the very start. Don't give up, keep the faith. The devil and his cohorts want nothing more than to keep you from hearing from God, and hold up the answer to your prayers. When you give up the faith and quit believing, the forces of hell have prevailed against you. But, when you've got revelation that through faith and patience the promises and answers are yours, then the gates of hell can not prevail against you. If you're in prayer about something, be encouraged today to keep standing in faith. Keep believing. Praise God for the answer even though you don't see it yet. If you don't quit and give up, the break-through is just around the corner.

Offended
John 16:1-3 (KJV) These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended.
Offence will surely come whether we expect it or not, whether we are prepared for it or not! Our attitude towards offence determines the effect it will have on us.
People offend God, fellow men at one time or another. Some offend intentionally, while some unintentionally. Interestingly, whether you do what is right or wrong, somebody will be offended. The question is “what should be the Christian attitude towards being offended?” To a great extent we can not stop the offences that come our way, but we can control our attitude or response to them. A decision to work towards not being offended is a right step to take if anyone will have a Christian attitude towards offences. This shows that we have the capacity to have the right attitude towards offences. Christians are to put their trust in God not in man or things. Trust in God enables one not to be offended knowing that man is limited but God can still perfect the situation.
Assumption is another thing that causes offence, I heard it said that assumption is the mother of frustration. There is need to have adequate and relevant information or facts about somebody, thing or situation before making finally decisions on them, to avoid unpleasant occurrences or surprises. There is always more than one side to a story. But it seems that we only want to hear one, and in most cases it is the wrong one.
Pride also causes one to be offended even by trivial matters. Pride has root in self and the scriptures command Christians to die to self. A dead man can never be offended. Our perception of people and matters determines whether we will be offended or not. John 16:1 says, “These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended. Christians are to be like Christ in all things including towards offences. But I see people leave church because they say they are offended, they don’t say I was hurt. You know why? When you get hurt you look for someone to heal you. When someone gets offended they look for someone to hurt. If I cant shoot you, I kill you with words.

Just Shake It Off
Acts 28:3-5 (Amplified Bible) Now Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and he was laying them on the fire when a viper crawled out because of the heat and fastened itself on his hand. When the natives saw the little animal hanging from his hand, they said to one another, Doubtless this man is a murderer, for though he has been saved from the sea, Justice the goddess of avenging has not permitted that he should live. Then [Paul simply] shook off the small creature into the fire and suffered no evil effects.
You're going about your day doing your work. Your serving your fellow man. You're doing the right thing and there is no cause for evil to come near you. Suddenly, out of nowhere the devil shows his ugly face. Maybe it's in the form of a harsh word from someone. Could be that it's an outright attack on your character or job performance, maybe even your ministry. When the devil comes around trying to put something on you and it seems he's going for blood, don't panic. Don't pour gas on the fire. Remember you are a child of God whom Jesus said would trample over all the works of the enemy. Overcome evil with good and do like Paul did - just shake it off and suffer no evil effects!

Boldness
Proverbs 28:1 (The Message) The wicked are edgy with guilt, ready to run off even when no one's after them;
Honest people are relaxed and confident, bold as lions.
When you are in right standing with God, there is no reason to walk around with your head hung down, defeated, depressed or fearful of anyone. If God is for you, then who can dare be against you? You have the Most High God on your side. Today, set your vision on the promises of God and boldly be the person He has created you to be. Boldly approach the throne of grace with your needs today. Boldly stand and prevail in the face of adversity today. Boldly show the love of Jesus today to those around you. When the devil comes knocking on your door, boldly tell him there is no room for his evil schemes in your life. Boldly stand against the spirit of confusion. Don't tuck your tail and run to hide, be bold as a lion!

The Right Kind Of Crop
Matthew 13:3 (NKJV) Then He spoke many things to them in parables, saying: “Behold, a sower went out to sow.
When a farmer plants a field, why is he planting in the first place? It's because he doesn't have what he is planting, or he is wanting more of what he already has. When he sees a field full of weeds, grass and thorns, yet his desire is corn, he prepares the field to receive the seed corn. He then plants the seed corn and watches over the field to keep the weeds out and to keep it watered so it will grow. Jesus said the Word of God works in the same way. When it is sown in good ground, watered with faith, it will produce a crop all by itself. One of the reasons many people aren't seeing the blessings of God in their lives is because their mouth is continually planting the wrong kind of crop. God says we can have what we say, but most people are saying what they have. Therefore their lives are full of weeds and thorns because that's what they continually confess and believe. In other words, they keep experiencing negative things because they keep saying negative things. Begin today to build a new foundation for your life by saying what God says about things. Establish His Word in your heart. Refuse to be negative and refuse to confess an evil report. Plant the right kind of crop by speaking and sowing words of faith!
