To Be Holy

1 Peter 1:13-16 Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”

To be holy is to be free from anything that would offend a perfect God. But how can we the sinful people that we are achieve such a thing. One Word SANCTIFICATION. It is the process by which we are made Holy. The Holy Spirit of God, who indwells us at the moment of salvation, is able to transform us. By the power of the Spirit we find the ability to abstain from fleshly lust which war against the soul. But notice the word ability, we have the ability. But we must yield ourselves to God, and as we soberly and vigilantly resist the devil and all his temptations, we will find that God is able to perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle us. Remember God provides the tools , But we must pick them up and use them.

Have A Blessed day
