Your Word Is Your Bond

Matthew 5:37 (NKJV) But let your 'Yes' be 'Yes, ' and your 'No,' 'No.' For whatever is more than these is from the evil one.

If you're going to have good success in life, having honesty and integrity is a key factor. Telling people only what they want to hear when you know you can't follow through with it is not going to cause you to be blessed. This type of practice will only bring grief and promote strife. However, if you have the spirit of God within you, you can be led by His spirit, and the wisdom of God can direct you in making the right decisions every time. Then you won't be having to go back on your word, you can keep your commitments, and because your "yes" is "yes" and your "no" is "no", people will know that you are a person of integrity and your word is your bond.
