Sigh of Relief

Psalm 62:8 (Amplified Bible) Trust in, lean on, rely on, and have confidence in Him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts before Him. God is a refuge for us (a fortress and a high tower). Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!

It is often at the conclusion of a difficult time that we breathe a long awaited sigh of relief. Yet it is something that we never need experience. Within a difficult time, we have the privilege to take the matter to the Lord-and leave it with Him. Easy as that is to say, it is often hard to do. We go to God, pray to Him, entrust a matter to His capable hands; and once a little time passes, we find ourselves taking the matter again into our own hands. But God is faithful, and patient, and gracious. He will continue to provide us the direction we need and teach us to rely on Him more with each passing trial. In time, perhaps we will learn the lesson He so desires us to learn-that is that we can entrust something to Him, find His peace in that very moment, and not have to hold our breath until the trial has came to an end.

Have A Blessed Week
